Yihang Liu joined Chi Lab in 2025 as an Honours B.Sc. Physics student at the University of Ottawa. After completing advanced laboratory courses on low-temperature transport, interferometry, and NMR, he developed a keen interest in magnetic quantum materials. His 4006 project combines first-principles screening of topological materials with the fabrication and measurement of non-reciprocal transport devices. Yihang enjoys writing Python routines for data analysis and building automated measurement setups using micro-controllers and 3D-printed components. Outside the lab, he spends time road cycling along the Rideau River and practicing fingerstyle guitar.
